About Candice
With nearly 20 years of therapeutic experience with individuals and families, including children and youth, I know that families, and the individuals and relationships that comprise them, are unique, complex, and powerful structures in all of our lives.
My clients are parents and step-parents, minor children and adult children, grandparents, extended families, families of choice, and more. In other words, I work with individuals of all ages who are seeking to examine and work through experiences, challenges, (mis)understandings, and ways of being within their current or past journey with their family. For you or your child, this might mean:
– developing a better understanding of yourself through identifying modelled patterns of behaviour and coping.
– processing and healing past family trauma.
– (re)developing healthy relationships and boundaries.
– working through conflict in one or more of your relationships (couples, families, parent-child, platonic, etc.)
– working through grief and loss.
– working through thoughts and feelings about death and dying.
– re-imagining a new future for yourself, your child(ren), and/or your family, and developing a plan to get there.
I believe that free expression, openness, and honesty with self are central components to a helpful and successful therapeutic journey. With that in mind, I consciously aim to curate a therapeutic environment and relationship with my clients based in trust, confidentiality, and connection.
