About Carrie
Carrie Wright-Donaldson and Healing Through Play offers Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Sandtray, and EMDR for children ages 4-18. During this period of COVID 19, Carrie is offering in-office sessions, video/online sessions, and phone support sessions. Play therapy is a therapeutic approach which uses the child’s natural creativity and imagination as a vehicle through which they can freely explore their feelings in a safe, non-threatening environment. Play Therapy allows children to express themselves and their overwhelming feelings while also internalizing messages of empowerment and nurturing support from the therapist. As a result, the child can work through their trauma and develop healthy coping strategies and boundary skills that can continue into their adulthood.
