About Dawn

Dawn Julien MEd, RCC, CVRP (F) TSA is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in occupational rehabilitation as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor.
Many of her clients have achieved their return to work goals after an ICBC or Worksafe, debilitating accident.

Dawn provides a client centered, respectful and non-judgmental environment which supports people in recognizing their individual potential and abilities. Her strength-based, solution focused and sincere approach aims to help clients develop a greater sense of confidence and well-being, by creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust and collaboration.

With over 20 years experience counselling individuals in return to work planning and career transitions she has proven expertise in: Accident Injury Counselling, Emotional and Physical Pain Management, Substance Addiction, Chronic Pain Management, Coping with Anxiety, Anger Management, Overcoming Depression, Guilt, Grief and Loss, Dealing with Work-related Stress, Career Transitions, Improving Self-esteem, Stress Management and Employing Advanced Job Search Techniques.

Dawn also provides Transferable Skills Analysis and administers and interprets Vocational Assessments to help determine re-training options utilizing the:

Wide Range Achievement Test V (WRAT-5)
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

Dawn received her Psychology Counseling Master of Education Degree, (specializing in Vocational Rehabilitation) from the University of British Columbia. She is also a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC, a Registered Rehabilitation Professional with the VRA, a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional Fellow with the CVRP (F), with specialized training in Transferable Skill Assessments, which entitle her to display the RCC, RRP, CVRP (F) and the TSA designations of distinction.
