About Elysia

Most of my clients arrive after they’ve been poked, prodded, dismissed, or told it’s all in their head. They’re living with persistent pain, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, or Long COVID. With POTS, MCAS, and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos (hEDS) or hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD) — the cluster most clinicians don’t recognize. Or with the medical burnout that builds after years of fighting to be believed. They’re tired. Often grieving. Usually pacing a life that used to look different.

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and my practice focuses on chronic pain, chronic illness, and health trauma — the ground that most therapists weren’t trained to stand on.

What that looks like in session: no workbooks you have to translate into your own body. No pushing through flares. No graded anything. We work at the pace your system can actually hold, and we build from what your body is doing rather than around it.

I draw on somatic pacing and nervous-system-informed care, and I’m trained in the Safe and Sound Protocol, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. What we use blends to fit you — and matters less than whether it fits the week you’re actually having.

I also live with chronic illness, and it shapes how I show up. I know the math of a bad pain day, the cost of a single phone call, the absurdity of being told to just exercise. You won’t have to explain the basics. We can start somewhere useful.

I sit on the Board of the Canadian Pain Society and co-chair its Interprofessional Special Interest Group, and I work with Pain BC on chronic pain education and advocacy. I write and speak on chronic pain care, nervous system regulation, and pacing.

Sessions are online, across British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland & Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. 50 minutes, $150 (therapy-integrated SSP $180). Most extended health plans reimburse RCC services. ICBC and WorkSafe BC claims accepted. Free 20-minute consultations.
