About Erica
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, stress, low mood, and the emotional impact of work and life pressures. My approach is steady and evidence-based. The focus is on understanding what is driving distress and developing responses that are effective and sustainable.
Therapy offers a structured space to examine patterns, identify internal and external pressures, and develop strategies that support daily functioning. Many clients arrive feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Together, we assess how personal history, relationships, expectations, and current stressors interact, then work toward practical changes that strengthen regulation and resilience.
My style is collaborative and clear. I draw from cognitive behavioural, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed approaches, selecting interventions that match each client’s needs and goals. The aim is to reduce distress, build capacity, and support clients in moving through challenges with more stability and confidence.
AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION
Career Counselling:
I support adults navigating career decisions, workplace conflict, role strain, and uncertainty about direction. This work centers on identifying stressors, understanding patterns that shape work satisfaction, and developing practical steps that support both mental health and career wellbeing.
Burnout and Work Stress:
I work with clients experiencing exhaustion, chronic stress, overfunctioning, and difficulty maintaining boundaries. Treatment focuses on identifying pressures contributing to burnout, understanding emotional and behavioural patterns, and building strategies that support sustainable coping and recovery.
Anxiety and Depression:
I help clients understand the factors contributing to anxiety and low mood and develop skills that improve regulation, stability, and functioning. My approach integrates evidence-based strategies to reduce symptoms while addressing the patterns that maintain distress.
Relationships and Life Transitions:
I support individuals navigating relationship challenges, attachment patterns, communication difficulties, and major life changes. Therapy focuses on developing insight, strengthening boundaries, processing emotional reactions, and building more adaptive ways of moving through transition.
