About Fiona

What if you could emerge from this time of crisis feeling calmer, more comfortable in your body and more confident in your ability to cope with change? Life can be challenging, complex and messy, there are times when we feel lost, reactive, stuck, overwhelmed, barely surviving from day to day and struggling to find joy. Change can trigger painful emotions that negatively impact all aspects of our lives and make it difficult for us to see a way forward. Even change you are excited about ? having a new baby, beginning a new job or a new path, a change in relationships ? can feel tougher than you expected, I believe these crucial life transitions are the essential doorways that lead us to creative opportunities for turning suffering into life changing transformation. I am committed to helping you transform through the challenges and conflicts you are facing. I deeply believe that you have the capacity to deal with change, discover wisdom and grow in the process.

As a registered Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor with over 25 years of experience, I bring a rich history of clinical experience and education, compassion, creativity, a playful spirit, and sense of humour to my work.

I have a special interest in working with parents, individuals (16+), and elders on issues of parenting, life transitions, trauma, pre and postpartum mental health, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss (including dying and chronic health concerns), care giver burnout, interpersonal and relationship stress, separation, divorce and changing family structures.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, compassionate, integrative, and grounded in neuroscience. It is always trauma focused and it will involve Somatic therapeutic techniques.

Together we will gently focus on the traumas that have left an indelible mark on your body, mind, and spirit. In an open, honest, safe environment you will feel comfortable addressing ?the uncomfortable? aspects of your life as you make sense of your situation and move beyond the challenges to healing and peace.

I look forward to guiding you safely out of this challenging experience towards healing and a more tender-hearted understanding of yourself. Our work together will help you to feel safe in your body and be more present in your life.
