About Hannah
Hi, I’m Hannah, a therapist based in Vancouver, B.C., the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. However, I am also a Canadian elite field hockey player, a youth field hockey coach and a public speaker, as well as a daughter, sister and friend. It is these roles that have helped shaped me into the fun, quirky, (and sometimes messy) human I am today.
I am passionate about supporting **youth (age 10+), their families, young adults, and athletes** on their mental health journeys. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Psychology, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
At its core, my approach to counselling is warm, relational and client centred. My clients and I work collaboratively to identify a therapeutic approach that is as unique as they are. I draw on a variety of evidence-based modalities to help clients gain a deeper awareness of themselves, leverage their strengths, and make shifts towards their goals. Some of these modalities include:
– Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
– Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT)
– Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
– Somatic Therapy
– Emotion focused family therapy (EFFT)
– Attachment-based interventions
– Strength-based interventions
– Mindfulness-based interventions
I look forward to meeting you!
