About Jasbir
Since 2006 I have been working with individuals who struggle with trauma, complex life transitions, addictions, relationship issues, and mental health concerns. I utilize an anti-oppressive framework with an emphasis on intersectionality and existentialism. I have over a decade of experience facilitating psycho-educational programs in the areas of intimate partner violence, substance use and violence prevention. As a counsellor in Abbotsford, I provide in person and virtual services.
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
I have my Masters in Social Work from the University of Victoria. From the Justice Institute of BC, I obtained my Certificate in Advanced Facilitation & Consultation. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I specialize in group training in the areas of Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Change Management and Conflict Resolution.
