About Jolene

Hi, I’m Jolene Carlsen—a mom of two with 20+ years of experience supporting children, youth, and families as a teacher and school counsellor. My own journey through postpartum depression and anxiety shaped my passion for helping parents and caregivers navigate the joys and challenges of this life-changing chapter.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I support children, youth, families, and new parents. I believe in creating a genuine, supportive connection. My person-centered approach means I’ll meet you where you are, with compassion, empathy and respect, so you feel heard and never alone.

I tailor each session to meet your needs and goals, drawing from different modalities such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness practices. We will work collaboratively to explore your challenges, build on your strengths, and find meaningful paths forward.

Every parent, child, and family have a story worth honouring—this is a space where you and your story truly matter.
