As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, my primary specialization has been in the area of trauma and sexual assault/abuse. This has led to a more specialized focus in Sex Therapy. Sex Therapy seeks to alleviate client’s sexual concerns such as: lack of interest, arousal, erection or orgasm difficulties as well as to increase intimacy in relationships and sexual pleasure.

Areas of exploration may include: physical and mental health factors, childhood development/sex education, interpersonal relationship dynamics, knowledge about intimacy, sexual satisfaction, healing from the trauma impacts of sexual assault/abuse, body image, self-esteem, guilt and shame.

My therapeutic approaches include: Attachment theory, Gottman Couples’ Method, EMDR, CBT, Feminist/Anti-oppression and LGBTQ2 Inclusivity. We will collaborate to determine how to resource your needs within established professional, ethical frameworks.
