Julie (she/her) is an experienced youth, adult and family counsellor, clinically trained in a variety of mental health challenges including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-injury, suicidality, as well as substance use challenges (concurrent disorders). She is also trained in Interpersonal Therapy. She has experience working in a variety of settings including non-profit, BC Children’s hospital, Vancouver Coastal Health Mental Health Teams, the Vancouver School Board, and high risk mental health care.
She specializes in supporting young adults, as well as their families. She is highly experienced working with adults and couples of any age with mental health and/ or relationship challenges.
Additionally she is training in grief and loss and the MAiD process.
Julie is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, brief collaborative solution focused therapy, EFFT, interpersonal therapy, IFS, narrative therapy, and trauma therapy, including trauma focused CBT.
Above all, Julie comes from a collaborative and compassionate trauma informed practice lens, highly experienced in virtual therapy, working with clients, families and couples towards their self identified goals.
Clinical supervision for new or seasoned therapists available.
