**About Julie**
Julie holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, and certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. She has more than 30 years of experience working as a counsellor to facilitate change and assisting with issues related to:

She has spent many years assisting clients with life’s transitions such as relationships, work changes, and any situation that entails moving beyond “self”. Her work is transpersonal, meaning that she draws upon client’s personal experience and wisdom to guide their changes.

Using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Mindfulness, and Hypnotherapy clients are able to make personal changes more effortlessly leaving them with an enhanced ability to cope with short and long term stressful situations, reduced anxiety, a greater ability to relax and with an increased sense of well-being. Her ideal clients are those who are looking to grow personally.

Julie employs a brief counselling model which usually involves between 4-8 sessions – life/cost effective.

**What is Hypnosis?**
Hypnosis is a state of increased suggestibility and concentration. In this state the Conscious Critical Mind becomes an observer and allows direct communication with the Subconscious Mind. This allows the therapist to assist clients to make changes at the deep Subconscious level needed for permanent change. Hypnosis is empowering. Issues such as fears/phobias, habits, anxiety, pain, illness, confidence, shyness, anger, gaining insight and changing behaviour are effectively addressed through hypnosis.

**How I can help you with Habits**
Habits exist in many forms such as over-eating, negative thoughts or persistent behaviours. All are simply an expression of an undeclared, inner need. Through hypnosis, this “driving” need that appear to be in control is given a “voice” – an opportunity to be seen for what it is and therefore an opportunity to allow itself to diminish. However, only through recognition and acceptance. While appearing to be counter-intuitive, allowing “whatever is” is vital to the change process. Therefore acknowledging what is open to change and move forward in a positive way. Hypnosis supports this process both in identifying “unseen” motivation, along with allowing for positive movement and change.
