About Justin
Having been a client myself, I know that counselling can be enormously transformative and rewarding. At the same time, I also understand that it can require incredible courage, which is why I consider it an honour and a privilege to hold space for those with whom I work. My approach emphasizes nonjudgment, empathy, and respect for all clients, as well as their sense of safety and genuine connection in the room. Many of these folks are seeking support as they navigate issues related to relationships, interpersonal conflict, masculinity, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and life transitions.
I often assist clients to examine their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and values, as well as the stories that they construct in order to make sense of the world. In doing this, I utilize elements of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
If you think that you may be interested in working together, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss how I might support you on your journey, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and request a free consultation.
