About Katrina

Katrina Onysko, RCC (#17810) provides an anti-racist and anti-ableist approach to her counselling practice, and welcomes clients from all diverse backgrounds and identities at two online counselling clinics:

For the past 16 years, Katrina has worked in the public health sector, supporting a range of outpatient programs and services for children, youth, and families, adults, newcomers, caregivers, and aging populations.

Areas of specialty include: anxiety, depression, trauma, & OCD, gender and sexuality, sleep, learning, and academic/occupational challenges, as well as supporting individuals living with new diagnoses, neurodivergent traits, chronic pain, and illness such as Diabetes and HIV/AIDS.

Katrina works from a Feminist and Relational-Cultural Therapeutic perspective and incorporates modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to create an effective set of skills and approaches tailored to meet each client’s needs.

Katrina is a graduate of Adler University located in Vancouver, BC and holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree. She is a member in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and has been practicing as a Registered Clinical Counsellor since 2016. Katrina also works for City University in Canada as an Associate Faculty and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.
