About Lynsey
*NOT currently accepting new clients* I am a registered clinical counsellor that specializes in working with children, adolescents, and teens. Additionally, I work as a counsellor at Maple ridge elementary schools and Crescent Heights Academy. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and youth. I have also worked with teenagers in a group home setting. During my practicum, I led a children’s art therapy group for children with mothers escaping violent/abusive relationships. I enjoy using art therapy techniques and play based strategies in counselling to connect with children. I completed training in synergetic play therapy and use these techniques in my practice.
I completed my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in August 2019. My practicum was at Moving Forward Family Services in Surrey where I continue to see clients. I am passionate about providing affordable and accessible counselling. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss how to best support your child!
