About Mandeep (Mandy)
Website: https://unstuckcounselling.com/
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a personal and professional journey shaped by navigating multiple cultures and healing from trauma. I offer a judgment-free space to explore your inner world at a pace that feels safe. I’m humbled by the trust clients place in me—it takes real strength to ask for help.
I know what it feels like to be stuck — caught in pain, patterns, or emotions that seem impossible to escape. At UNstuck Counselling, I offer a compassionate space grounded in evidence-based therapies like EMDR and AEDP, where you can begin to find solid ground and move forward. My work is about helping you loosen what holds you back and reconnect to the goodness you already carry inside.
After years in the corporate world, I chose a career change because this work is what truly matters to me. I understand how adverse lived experiences can echo as anger, withdrawal, low confidence, shame, or isolation. That lifelong journey of getting UNstuck shapes how I work: with compassion, authenticity, and deep cultural sensitivity.
UNstuck Counselling was born from this truth: no matter how lost or weighed down we feel, there is always a way back to our inherent worth and goodness.
When we work together, I welcome every part of you — even the ones you’ve been told are “too much” or “not enough.” I understand the quicksand-like feeling of being stuck, and I know therapy can create the shifts that free us.
Using AEDP, EMDR and IFS, we’ll move beyond surface symptoms to the deeper roots of your pain, helping you find clarity, resilience, and connection. Together, we’ll work toward loosening the grip of the past and creating space for growth, trust, and self-compassion.
Do you ever wonder, “Why am I depressed and anxious?”
If you’ve lived through difficult experiences, it can be easy to blame yourself or feel like something is “wrong” with you. In reality, many struggles with anxiety and depression are rooted in trauma — whether from childhood, major life events, or repeated smaller stressors. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with me?”, therapy helps reframe the question to “What happened to me?” — creating space for understanding, compassion, and healing.
What is trauma and how does it affect you?
Trauma isn’t just about what happened — it’s about how your body and mind responded. When survival systems like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn stay “switched on,” they can shape emotions and relationships long after the event. Whether it’s a major trauma or repeated smaller stressors, the impact is real. Therapy offers a safe space to process these experiences and rebuild resilience, trust, and connection.
Empathy + Directness = Lasting Change
I don’t sugarcoat — not because I lack compassion, but because I believe the most transformative healing happens when we can face the truth with both honesty and support. Empathy and challenge go hand in hand.
