About Mandeep (Mandy)
Many of the people I work with feel stuck, overwhelmed, or find themselves wondering, “What’s wrong with me?” They may be navigating trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD (CPTSD), childhood trauma, adverse or stressful life experiences, operational stress, critical incidents, moral injury, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, or relationship challenges.
Whatever has brought you to therapy, we’ll work together with curiosity and compassion to better understand your experiences, your nervous system, and the patterns that may have developed as ways of coping. Healing isn’t about what’s wrong with you—it’s about understanding what happened to you. Many of the ways you’re coping today may have once helped you survive.
My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. While understanding your story is important, lasting healing often requires more than insight alone. Using EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), AEDP, and other evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, I help clients process and integrate difficult experiences so they can move beyond surviving and create meaningful, lasting change.
Trauma doesn’t always look the way people expect it to. Sometimes it’s one overwhelming event. Other times, it’s a series of adverse or stressful life experiences that gradually shape how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to the world around you. Whether your experiences “count as trauma” or not, their impact is real. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and choice.
My personal and professional journey has been shaped by navigating multiple cultures, overcoming adversity, and discovering the transformative power of therapy. After many years in the corporate world, I chose a career in counselling because this work is deeply meaningful to me. These experiences continue to shape how I show up as a therapist—with authenticity, compassion, cultural humility, and genuine curiosity.
UNstuck Counselling was born from the belief that no matter how stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down we may feel, there is always a path forward. I believe we all carry an inherent goodness that can become hidden beneath pain, trauma, or life’s challenges—but it is never lost. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where every part of you is welcome, even the parts you’ve learned to hide or have been told are “too much” or “not enough.”
I believe empathy and gentle honesty go hand in hand. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, building on your strengths while gently exploring patterns that may no longer be serving you. My hope is that you’ll leave therapy with a deeper understanding of yourself, greater self-compassion, and the confidence to move toward the life you want.
