About Manjit

Manj Bath is the Clinical Director of MindRight Counselling & Consulting. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). In addition, he’s a Certified EMDR Therapist from EMDRIA and a member of EMDR Canada. Currently, he is working towards becoming a Certified EMDR Consultant.

Manj has worked with Vancouver Coastal Health, Government of BC, Government of Alberta, and various not-for-profit agencies in facilitating group counselling and individual therapy to children, youth, individuals, and families. Also, he’s experienced in conducting risk/suicide assessments. He uses a bio-psycho-social model in understanding his client’s issues at hand and developing treatment plans that help them meet their goals for therapy. He uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and EMDR to help his clients with their progress.

Manj’s primary interest in research involves using EMDR in addressing problematic internet and video gaming. He’s attending Antioch University in Seattle, WA to pursue his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. He’s available for any media appearances or educational workshops discussing mental health, addiction, and other related areas.
