About Michael
My approach to clinical practice emphasizes the critical nature of the therapeutic relationship as the context in which change occurs. Into this context, I bring many years of training and experience as well as a diverse background in the arts and a former occupation in the forest industry on the coast. My personal style is relaxed yet engaged, analytical yet nonjudgmental, curious, empathetic, ethical, and supportive. I practice empirically validated therapies, such as CBT, RET, and EMDR, and have spent the past two years focusing on trauma and its treatment. I welcome the opportunity to work with people from every background in respectful appreciation of culture and history.
