About Nadja
Nadja Graham is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who has worked with clients both individually and in group settings for the past 15 years. She received her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the Adler University and holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Victoria.
Therapeutically, Nadja has a genuine interest in and respect for people from all walks of life. She has the patience, understanding and the ability to listen non-judgmentally. As a counsellor, Nadja is passionate about helping people identify their strengths and challenges so they can use that knowledge to grow and thrive.
Nadja has additional training in facilitating groups focusing on ADHD, Interpersonal Therapy for Depression, the CONNECT Parent Program, and CBT Approaches for dealing with Anxiety. While working in Human Resources at a major food enterprise, Nadja developed and implemented an orientation program for new employees. As a direct care worker at a Treatment Centre for women, Nadja supported several women in their journey to recovery. During her work at VCH in Adult Mental Health, Nadja worked with individuals as they entered the workforce. While working as a clinical counsellor in Child and Youth Mental Health with VCH, Nadja conducted psychosocial and risk assessments as well as offered short and long term counselling. Nadja provided single session telephonic counselling and consultation to individuals experiencing workplace and interpersonal challenges while in her role as an intake counsellor at an EAP provider.
In her current role as an Associate vocational counsellor at Lloyd Counselling, Nadja works with individuals to help them develop a better appreciation of their unique characteristics as it relates to their career choices. She uses various assessment tools to aid clients in identifying their interests, values, beliefs, lifestyle preferences and personalities in the context of the world of work. Through the Career Exploration process, Nadja assists individuals in recognizing the educational and training requirements related to their careers of interest. In addition, she provides pertinent job information in order to support clients in making informed and realistic appraisals of various career paths.
