Thank you for taking the time to check out this profile. I have been working in the addictions field for over 25 years. I am a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. I also have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I have worked extensively with families and partners of people with addictions. I truly enjoy helping people understand addiction, the dynamics, and the impact on self and others. I walk alongside my clients in recovery, and that is extremely rewarding.
I also work with people experiencing what is called “compulsive sexual behaviors”. They are difficult to control even in the face of internal stress or external consequences. These behaviors may include excessive pornography viewing, paying for sex, obsessions, infidelity, risky and/or anonymous sex, ‘hook-ups’, avoiding sexual contact, avoiding intimacy.
Understanding what constitutes these troubling patterns and ways of thinking is a necessary first step towards relief and health. I believe that I help to create an honest and non-judgmental environment where people are free to identify their concerns and express themselves openly, deepening connection and understanding.
Additionally, I am a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist and a Rainbow Advocate, both through IITAP.

Currently, autumn 2022, I am seeing clients only over internet or telephone.
