About Pauline

From my 17+ years of working with hundreds of clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or self esteem issues, I have learnt to trust in the unfolding process while holding space for the client’s experience in the “here and now.” As a certified focusing-oriented therapist, I tap into our implicit body-mind knowing and what is present in the body to deepen our awareness and consciousness — whole-brain approaches in clinical practice that use empathy, emotion, attachment theory and relational aspects in psychotherapy. I am able to support working gently with clients to cultivate self observation and embodiment, to explore the root of issues. I hold an expansive container for the work, and the search for higher meanings and experiences in life. I also integrate other modalities – such as music-integrated therapy, mindfulness practice and transpersonal psychology, in my practice. I am also passionate about couples work, and integrate emotionally-focused therapy and Gottman couples therapy to facilitate deeper listening to build understanding and closer connections. I am a culturally sensitive therapist, and can relate closely with clients, through my own immigration, adaptation, cultural/racial and international experiences.
