About Priya
Through my clinical work and life experiences, I have found many of us as humans do not take enough time to slow down and attune to what is truly going on internally within ourselves, which can lead to unresolved issues in life. As a therapist, I use a strength-based, somatic, person-centered, and mindfulness approach to help empower my clients to practice embracing and embodying who they truly are. I believe when individuals start operating in a space of honesty with their true authentic self, it can allow decisions to be made with more ease and help filter out unnecessary noise from the external world.
Life can get difficult, and it is okay to say, “I need support.” When we can tap into a greater insight about our world, relationships, behaviours, patterns, traumas, and identity, we can start to operate in a more informed and grounded way. I understand this could be effortful and bring emotional pain. If you decide to give me the privilege of being a part of your journey, I will be here to support you at your pace. What is most important to me as your therapist is for you to feel safe, supported and respected as who you are.
In my practice, I take an authentic, gentle, and collaborative approach. I like to think of my clients and me as a team. A team, working together to better understand your world. What I hope you can get out of our time together is a deeper sense of the identity you hold, the confidence to live a fulfilled life, and the ability to trust yourself as you walk through your world.
Sometimes this is the hardest part. Reaching out and saying I need support. If you have any questions or would like to explore how counselling could support you in whatever season of life you are in, feel free to email me and we can book a free 15-minute phone consultation.
