About Samantha
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, offering counselling to adults. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, grounded in the belief that healing happens within safe, respectful, and collaborative relationships.
In my work, I draw from integrative approaches including psychodynamic, narrative, and emotion-focused perspectives, while adapting each session to the unique needs, values, and pace of the client. I pay close attention to how past experiences, relationships, culture, identity, and systemic factors shape emotional wellbeing and current challenges.
Clients can expect a compassionate, thoughtful, and non-judgmental space where they feel heard, supported, and understood. I value collaboration and transparency in therapy, and I work alongside clients to explore patterns, strengthen insight, and develop meaningful coping strategies that align with their goals and lived experience.
I have experience supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relational difficulties, life transitions, grief, and identity-related stressors. I am particularly attentive to the experiences of immigrants, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and I approach this work with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect.
My professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives. Therapy is a space for reflection, growth, and reconnection with oneself and with others guided by empathy, collaboration, and care.
