About Sean
I work with clients from all backgrounds in individual and group counselling settings using a compassionate, strengths based approach. My therapy centers on use of a multimodal approach that is responsive to presenting needs and collaborative in nature. I’ve found it helpful to combine Mindfulness with research grounded solution focused therapies (CBT, SFBT), to aid people in gaining a better understanding of their mind-body connection while focusing on targeted strategies to support improved mental health and wellbeing.
I offer nature based, online, and site based counselling sessions depending on client preference.
I have experience providing counselling services in both community based and school settings. My work with adults focuses on a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, grief, life transitions, family related issues, and relationships. Additionally, I have extensive experience as a behaviour support teacher, case manager, highschool teacher, and middle years teacher which allows me to effectively support youth with both mental health therapy, and with school and peer based concerns. I also work with parents to find tools and strategies to navigate the sometimes challenging formative years of their children.
I am accepting adults clients, and children ages 10 and up. I look forward to working with you!
