About Shaun

Shaun Phillips, #3743; M.Ed., RCC, Focusing-Oriented therapist and trainer, and Focusing Coordinator. Shaun specializes in working with complex trauma and has presented on this work at the 2014, 2011, and 2009 World Conference on Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapies in New York. He has a private practice with a range of child, adolescent and adult clients. He is an associate with Sand Story Psychology Services. Shaun is one of the founding instructors and a clinical supervisor of the Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma (IFOTCT) Certificate Program (JIBC; Focusing Institute). Shaun’s has taught Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma across the globe (New York, Israel, Brazil, South Africa, Belgium and the Netherlands). He is currently running the FOTCT Certificate Program, with his sister Alexis Phillips, RCC, in Japan and China. He works closely with Long Lake #58 First Nation and Whitesand First Nation (Ontario) where he has trained trainers in (IFOTCT) and created, along with his colleague Dr. Deborah Bell, Seeds of Hope: Creating Change by Building Connection and Capacity in Community (an infant mental health program).
