About Susan
Susan uses a comprehensive, integrative approach combining psychotherapy and nutritional counselling, known as Psycho-Nutra-Therapy (PNT). She recognizes the connection between emotional regulation, nutritional health, and metabolic functioning, and applies a holistic lens to mental health care. Her work includes thorough assessment of emotional well-being alongside nutritional factors such as dietary patterns, deficiencies, and appropriate nutraceutical support, paying careful attention to both psychological and physiological influences on overall functioning.
Following a detailed consultation and assessment, Susan develops personalized treatment plans that may incorporate lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, supplementation, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities including mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Susan fosters a compassionate, attuned, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences. Through a client-centred and collaborative approach, she supports insight, meaning-making, and emotional processing, empowering clients to recognize their inherent strengths, build resilience, and integrate therapeutic growth into everyday life.
Susan believes there is a direct relationship between mood and nutritional health, taking a holistic approach that addresses emotional needs alongside mineral, vitamin, and nutritional deficiencies. Her compassion and non-judgmental approach draw out clients’ natural abilities, helping them face internal struggles and reconnect with their inherent strengths. Supporting individuals to achieve their full potential and helping them overcome mental and emotional barriers to personal well-being are central motivations in her practice.
