About Tracy
Website: www.tracylewis.ca
I approach each session with the goal of creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. My counselling style is multicultural and feminist-informed, meaning I consider the complex impacts of culture, race, gender, sexuality, and socio-economic context in everything I do. I strive to build an environment that actively resists discrimination and embraces diversity in all its forms.
I’m especially passionate about working with the queer community, women, and people navigating non-traditional relationship structures, including polyamory and open relationships. I also support clients in managing the tension between work, identity, and personal well-being—especially when life doesn’t follow a neat, linear path.
At the heart of my work is relationship building. I bring curiosity, empathy, and openness to every session. My own lived experiences—including navigating my own challenges—inform my practice and deepen my commitment to showing up authentically for the people I work with.
Individual Counselling
Individual therapy is a space to explore the parts of life that feel overwhelming, uncertain, or disconnected. I use evidence-based practices—including person-centered therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and psychoeducation—to help clients understand the roots of their symptoms and develop strategies that actually fit their lives.
Every client is different. My work is collaborative and personalized, with a focus on real-world coping tools and meaningful self-awareness.
Common areas of focus include:
Anxiety and Depression
Self-Esteem
Personal Growth
Burnout and Stress
Relationship Challenges
Trauma
Relationship Counselling
I work with all relationship structures—couples, throuples, polycules, open relationships, and more—and create space where everyone involved can speak honestly and be heard with respect. My approach is collaborative, emotionally aware, and systems-informed.
We’ll look at communication patterns, emotional needs, power dynamics, and values. I help partners build clarity, strengthen connection, and create more equitable, sustainable relationships—whatever that looks like for them.
Topics often explored in relationship counselling include:
Communication struggles
Trust and repair
Sex and intimacy
