BCACC Workshop / Lunch & Learn

Using Video in Counselling
This half-day webinar explores the ethical, practical, and clinical considerations of video counselling. While many standards of practice established during the pandemic remain relevant, years of widespread online counselling have also brought new insights, challenges, and developments in virtual clinical practice.
Participants will explore current considerations and best practices for providing counselling by video, including how the functioning of the internet can impact the choice of platform, key issues to address during initial video sessions, what counsellors need to consider when virtually entering a client’s home, and strategies for taking care of themselves while working online.
The webinar will also examine the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in clinical practice, with practical guidance and key do’s and don’ts for counsellors using AI products and services.
