It is said that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. Become a BCACC Student Member and take your first step to launching a career as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
What is the Student Membership category and who is it for?
This new associate membership will be available for students pursuing a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in counselling-related fields (e.g., Counselling Psychology). A student member is an individual non-voting member of BCACC, not an active registered member (i.e., RCC).
Student members can access exclusive benefits, including professional liability insurance, professional development events, and much more.
Why should a student consider membership with BCACC?
Student Membership in the BCACC fosters community-building, practical knowledge of the profession, and helps you to establish yourself in a wider network of practitioners in advance of graduation and pursuit of the RCC designation.
As a Student Member, you’ll receive access to many member benefits including:
- Liability insurance
- 25% discount on BCACC events
- Ability to participate in Communities of Practice
- Invitation to join some of BCACC’s committees as non-voting members
- Opportunity to flex your creative muscle and contribute to BCACC’s Insights Magazine
- Exclusive discounts on full memberships after graduation
- And more!
Sounds great! How can I learn more, and how soon can I apply?
BCACC plans to launch the Student Member category in the Summer of 2022 and will be releasing more information soon. We invite you to join our mailing list to be the first to know when we launch!
We look forward to connecting with interested students, and for the chance to help support your career development.
