Michael Radano

 

Before joining BCACC, Michael Radano was MOSAIC’s Director of Employment, Language, and Social Enterprises. Before MOSAIC, Michael was the Society of Translators & Interpreters of British Columbia’s (STIBC) chief executive officer and held executive leadership roles in Europe, Asia, and the USA.

Michael has over 25 years of international experience in engineering, product marketing & sales, business development, mergers and acquisitions, IT management, consulting, and executive management in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. In addition to his academic background in Engineering, Michael has a degree in business (MBA) from Simon Fraser University and is a Certified Association Executive. Michael is a mentor/judge for new start-ups through the annual New Ventures British Columbia and SFU international CASEIT competitions. His passion is to lead, motivate, and support the board of directors, peers, and staff in achieving challenging strategic goals.

When not working, Michael enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, gourmet cooking, and time with family (including Cosmo – a labradoodle).”

Marcy McCabe

Marcy McCabe has been an integral part of BCACC since joining the Association in 2011. She has held various roles within BCACC, including working in Administration, Communications, and Member Services. She has been instrumental in helping to build effective communication strategies and a member services department for the association, and she became the Director of Member Services and Strategic Initiatives in 2018.

Marcy has worked in Business Development for over two decades in multiple sectors, including the film industry and custom software development, and provided business development services on a volunteer basis in the not-for-profit sector.

Having grown up in a family of counsellors, Marcy greatly enjoys working for the BCACC and is passionate about supporting Clinical Counsellors and advocating for the profession of Clinical Counselling.

Marcy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and supplementary training in change management from Royal Roads University. She is completing her Certified Association Executive Certificate from the Canadian Society for Association Executives.

When she is not working, Marcy enjoys a variety of nerdy hobbies, including genealogy, history, and traveling.

Marise Coetzee

Marise joined The BC Association of Clinical Counselors in January 2020 as a Finance Officer and now serves as Director of Finance of the BCACC. Her responsibilities include operational and financial strategy, financial management, finance operations, finance governance, and risk management.

Marise joined the BCACC following her international accounting career. She worked as an Accountant in South Africa and Atlanta, USA, as a Senior Auditor at Georgia’s largest privately owned CPA firm. Marise moved to Canada in 2012 and has focused her efforts on the Non-Profit industry since day one.

Marise holds Internal Audit and Accounting Bachelor degrees from the University of South Africa and the Cape Town University of Technology and a Diploma in Accounting and Economics from Cape College in South Africa.

She brings fluent Afrikaans and broken Dutch to the list of languages BCACC staff can support you in!
