Trained in EMDR and somatic attachment psychotherapy and currently studying Internal Family Systems (IFS), she supports clients with trauma and complex mental health concerns through an integrative, evidence-informed lens. Since establishing her private practice in 2004, Dr. Orlando has supported individuals through a wide range of personal and mental health challenges and currently teaches counselling theory and practice as a sessional professor in the School Counselling course within the Master of Education program at Simon Fraser University. She has also served as Vice President of a Lower Mainland teachers’ association, advocating for educator well-being and healthy school environments. Janine specializes in holistic wellness, helping people cultivate balance across mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual domains.
For this toolkit, Janine contributed as a member of the initial working group that shaped the resource.
Susie Lang-Gould
Dr. Susie Lang-Gould is the Director of Peace Portal Counselling Centre, where she serves as a leader, counsellor, supervisor, parent consultant, and speaker. Providing opportunities for professional supervision has been a passion of hers, as she knows its significance for the lifelong development of clinicians, both personally and professionally.
For this toolkit, Susie’s practicum site participated in the trial and evaluation process, helping to test and refine the resource in real-world practice.
