Your Pathway to Continuous Learning

The BCACC’s Quality Assurance Continuing Competency (QACC) Program supports lifelong learning and aids your professional development efforts throughout your career

The BCACC is committed to public protection by supporting members to maintain high standards of professional practice. In keeping with our belief in continuous improvement, we have revised our Continuing Education (CE) Program to provide our members with a structured and measurable pathway for continuous learning.

This revised CE program is called the Quality Assurance Continuing Competency (QACC) Program and will help members prepare for legislative regulation, and reinforce public protection through professional responsibility and accountability, as well as uphold standards for the profession.

The Quality Assurance Continuing Competency (QACC) Program is all set to launch on February 24, 2025. It is aimed at promoting lifelong learning and is designed to support you to practice safely, competently, and ethically throughout your career.

How the QACC program works

The QACC program uses a structured approach to help you to identify your strengths along with areas for improvement and provide you with the tools and resources to track your learning activities.

The program supports you to build on your existing competence and leverage your learning efforts to complement/achieve your professional development goals. The Quality Assurance Continuing Competency (QACC) Program follows the AsPIRE framework.

As – Assess Self

PI – Plan & Implement

RE – Reflect & Evaluate

You will complete the program over a two-year cycle, by drawing on the learning and professional development habits you’re already engaging in and the opportunities you’ll seek out to maintain your good practice throughout your career.
